About therapy

When do I know it’s time to seek help?
  • When I am facing a difficult situation or going through a challenging period in my life.
  • When I experience high levels of stress or anxiety.
  • When I notice significant changes in my personality, behavior, eating habits, or sleep patterns.
  • When negative thoughts and emotions overwhelm me daily and I find it hard to manage them.
  • When I feel isolated or detached from those around me, struggle to cope with everyday responsibilities, and find it difficult — or even impossible — to enjoy my life.
How can therapy help me?
  • Improve communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enhance self-acceptance and self-confidence
  • Change self-destructive behaviors or habits
  • Improve expression and management of emotions, including anger
  • Relieve depression, anxiety, or other mental health difficulties
  • Increase self-esteem and strengthen decision-making skills
  • Develop constructive stress management strategies
  • Enhance problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Explore self-awareness and life purpose more deeply
  • Identify and address distorted thought patterns
Does seeking help from a mental health professional mean I’m weak?

Seeking help from a professional is not a sign of weakness. On the contrary, it is a sign of strength. The key is to recognize, acknowledge, and focus on your strengths while taking advantage of the expertise of specialists in areas you have not yet developed or been trained to manage.

How long does therapy last?

Sessions last 50–60 minutes each. Therapy can range from a single session to several weeks, months, or even years. The overall duration is assessed and tailored to each individual case.

Is what we discuss confidential?

Yes. Everything we discuss in our sessions remains confidential, with the only exceptions being those set out by law and by the code of ethics — for example, when there is a serious and immediate risk to your life or to someone else’s.
