Your data, handled with respect

Trust is the foundation of therapy — and it starts with how I handle your information.

Draft text. To be reviewed by Vassiliki (and ideally by a lawyer) before publication.

1. Who is responsible

The data controller is Vassiliki Tzima, Mental Health Counselor & Psychotherapist, Akadimias 76, 106 78 Athens · email: vtzimamhc@gmail.com · phone: +30 699 599 6940.

2. What information I collect

When you fill in the contact form: your full name, email, phone number (optional), the service you are interested in, whether you prefer sessions in person or online, and your message. When you contact me by phone, email, WhatsApp, or Viber, I receive whatever you send me.

You don’t need to share information about your health through the website. We discuss that together, in session.

3. Why, and on what legal basis

I use your information only to respond to your request and to arrange an appointment. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) and the steps you ask me to take before we start working together (Article 6(1)(b)). If you nevertheless include health information in the form, it is processed on the basis of the explicit consent you give with the form's consent box (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR). If you send it another way (phone, email, WhatsApp, Viber), I will ask for your explicit consent before using it.

4. Who else has access

I do not sell or share your information with anyone for commercial purposes. The following providers are used to run the website:

  • Cloudflare — website hosting.
  • Web3Forms — forwarding contact form messages to my email.
  • Google (Gmail) — receiving and storing email.

Some of them may process data outside the European Union. Cloudflare and Google are certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and also use standard contractual clauses; the mechanism for Web3Forms is to be confirmed. You can ask for more information or a copy of the relevant safeguards at vtzimamhc@gmail.com.

5. How long I keep it

Messages that do not lead to working together are deleted within 12 months. If we begin sessions, your information is kept in line with my obligations under professional ethics and the law.

6. Cookies and analytics

The website does not use cookies for advertising or analytics and does not track you. Fonts and images are hosted on the website itself. The hosting provider may log technical data (e.g., IP address) for security purposes.

Links to WhatsApp, Viber, Google Maps, and Instagram take you to third-party services, which have their own privacy policies.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to me at vtzimamhc@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

8. Emergencies

The website, the form, and messages are not meant for emergencies. If you are in immediate danger, call 112. If you are thinking about harming yourself, the Klimaka Suicide Intervention Line 1018 answers 24/7 in Greece.
